A Spider's Adventure
The Importance of One Tuesday Morning...
A spider this small on a stem this thin has probably been one of the toughest subjects I've ever photographed.
This spider had no idea that they were going to be part of a long, extensive photoshoot when they woke up this morning. As I turned the bend on my morning walk, as rain drops fell and mist floated above the fields, I noticed some insects on a bush nearby. I walked closer suddenly feeling the morning dew within my shoes. Once I felt calm and fully present within nature, while breathing slowly, I captured these beautiful moments that are on display on this page.
Plants and flowers are one of my favorite subjects to photograph. They are aesthetically pleasing, peaceful, natural, and they always make me smile. Most the time, I feel a sense of giddiness... wanting to share these moments in nature with the world. But when you notice an insect coming into frame- walking on a stem or leaf, being themselves in their own world, but with the same sun, water, earth that we know, but within a view so different, that's when the real story comes to life.
